Well tomorrow is the end of my spring break and I'm quite sad.. Though I missed everyone at Troy, I am in no way wanting to go back.. LoL. I've gotten so tired of everything that I don't like being anywhere.. Kind of sad isn't it? Spring Break was all right.. Nothing big as usual, but that's ok.. I spent time with friends and family.. I got contacts on Thursday which I am way excited about. However, I feel like I look old now.. LoL. I guess I had to give up the 12 year old look sometime, but I don't think I was ready too...LoL. They've been a little irritating getting in and out.. Today was by far the easiest.. LoL. Could be because I am getting better at it as I do it.. LoL. I can't wait to see what everyone at Troy says... Well we are moving.. Moving to Hayden.. It'll be closer to one of my oldest friends so I'm kind of excited about that... It'll be about the same distance to Aly's, so that's good...LoL. I won't be here to help pack much, but I did some today.. Mom said it'd be better if I packed my own room, which I totally agree with.. I was worried about someone packing my room anyways.. Things with Mom have been all right for the most part.. About as all right as they can be with the relationship change.. I just get irritated that Ben is here all the time... Oh Well I guess. If I say anything she'll only tell me that it's because I don't like him which is entirely not true nor fair to me. But whatever, since when has life been fair?
Darren called yesterday, out of the blue.. I was quite shocked.. He was about to get on a plan back to Troy from Hawaii which is even more strange that he called.. Mom told me that it isn't that no one likes me it's just that I don't like anyone that likes me.. She pretty much called me superficial.. She gets on my nerves.. She wouldn't be dating Ben if there wasn't something she liked about it, and if she didn't find him at least a little attractive, she wouldn't either.. Ok, maybe I am stuck-up and picky and superficial.. If so, I'll be a catlady forever.. At least my cats will love me.. I still miss Josh, whether that matters or not, it's there. I IMed him the other night, but I think I'll slack off for a while, I don't want to annoy him.. Me annoy someone? Haha.. I'll have to try really hard though.. LoL. It was a fun conversation and I enjoyed it.. We even started talking in morse code which was cool...LoL.
Earlier this week I didn't sleep well. The only reason this is relevant is because of the dreams I had.. The first dream was about some alien or something coming to attack me.. For some reason I was at my dad's house again which is normally where my scary dreams take place.. Who knows.. But that one woke me up at two. The other one woke me up closer to morning and it was one that hurt the most for some reason.. I woke up almost crying, which is totally dumb I know.. And the reason for it is even more dumb.. It was about Jeremy.. We were all at Dee and Lisa's house having a birthday party for me and for some reason I was playing with a ferret trying to get it to do tricks.. Jeremy was there with his girlfriend and mother. Well, apparently I needed an assistant and so I called Jeremy up because I figured he'd be good help since he used to have a ferret.. Anyways, he comes up to me and is really mean and really cruel.. So I tell him to just forget it and go away and then I wake up... LoL. I dunno. My dreams have always been really dumb...
None of this probably matters, but I felt like I needed to vent a little...LoL. Things are annoying and because some people are still able to read this, I can't fully type what I'd like..
But I hope everyone has a nice Saturday night.. I'm off to do something productive or at least try to.

Well tomorrow is Monday.. Exams begin.. I don't have any of mine until Tuesday.. All of them are on Tuesday in fact. 12:30, 3, and 8.. All p.m. The 8 o'clock one makes me mad.. I can't go home until Wednesday. That kind of sucks.. I'm ready to go home for a month. I say that now, hopefully it ends that way.. Might turn some things upside down at home. Not all together sure how it will work out yet or not. I guess we'll just have to see. Who knows. So I might not like being at home before too long. LoL. It always ends up that way. I wonder why that is.
Characters:
Melisande: Main Character
Carrie: Intrigue Employee
Jason: Intrigue Employee
Will: Lawson's Pharmacy Owner.
Karen: Melisande's sister.
Mrs. O'Neil – Older lady, has lived her whole life in Darcy
Angie: Karen's oldest daughter; 7-years old
Kyle: Karen’s son, 5-years old
Jessica: Karen’s youngest daughter, 4-years old
Melisande is twenty-three years old. She has pretty long brown hair and blue eyes. She's of medium height. She is fresh out of college. She's gone back to her small home town to write for the newspaper. She has resentment for the small town. She's angry she's there. All her life her family told her what to do, to the point that she doesn't know who she is or what she wants out of life. She went back to her home town because she felt she couldn't go anywhere else.
Scene I
It's Monday morning, Melisande has just walked into the office of Intrigue.
The paper's name used to be Darcy Daily, but Melisande changed it when she began working there.
The outer office has two desks with computers and printers. There is a huge white board at the front of the room with neatly printed notes and reminders.
She runs into the only other two people that write for the paper.
Melisande: Good Morning, Carrie. Good Morning, Jason. Any news?
Carrie is about 32, tall and slender. She's kind of plain looking. She's really sweet.
Jason is 27, he's some what attractive. He has black hair and green eyes. He searched for a small town newspaper to write for. He's been working there for four months. Came two months after Melisande started.
Carrie: Depends on what your idea of news is. Mrs. O'Neil called this morning saying that her cat Pepper got stuck in the tree and that she had to call the fire department. She thought that should be on the front page. I told her we'd check into it.
Melisande: Yeah. That's all this town cares about. Whose cat got stuck in a tree. We need real news.
Jason: Well, we'll get some soon. Just don't go out creating it yourself.
Melisande: I'm not far from doing that you know. We could use most ANYTHING that is remotely interesting.
Carrie: Something will come along. Don't worry.
Melisande: All right, well I'll be in my office if you need me.
Carrie and Jason in unison: All right.
Scene II
Melisande walks into her office and sits down. She sits there for a while thinking.
Her office is small and the walls are white. The walls are also bare. There is one desk with a phone and a computer. Next to the computer is a printer. There is a bulletin board and a white board with notes scribbled on it.
The phone rings.
Melisande: You have reached the offices of Intrigue, where news is our main priority. What news?
Melisande: Oh, Hi Mom. How are you? Yes, we got Mrs. O'Neil's message. No, we aren't going to run it. Because it isn't news. Well if Mrs. O'Neil doesn't come to the bridge game because of it, then that's her problem. No you won't be the laughing stock of the town.
Melisande sighs and hangs up the phone as Carrie comes in.
Carrie: Anything?
Melisande: Just Mom saying we have to run that story or the ladies will disown her and she'll be the laughing stock of our fair town.
Carrie: Wow, a little over dramatic, don't you think?
Melisande: That's MoM for you. Always worrying about her image. Without this town, I don't think she'd know who she was.
Carrie: My mom's the same way. Just this morning she called me telling me Billy Davis was in her store and was asking about me.
Carrie begins to mock her mother: "You know Carrie, he's just the cutest boy and he sure does have an eye for you."
Carrie makes a disgusted look.
Both girls groan.
Melisande: It's got to be a mother thing.
Carrie. Must be.
The phone rings.
Carrie: I'll get back to work and let you get that.
Melisande: Thanx. I'll see you later.
Carrie: Bye.
Carrie exits the office and Melisande answers the phone.
Melisande: You have reached the office of Intrigue, where news is our main priority. What news?
Melisande: Hi Dad. Yes, Mom called me. We already went over that. I'm not printing it. Well tell her you told me. No, I'm still not going to print it. No, I haven't made it to the drug store yet. Yes, I know you need your medicine. I'll go get it at lunch. That's only three hours away. Yes, I think four pills will last you until then. You're only supposed to take it twice a day. I'm sure nothing will happen to you. Ok Dad. All right. Bye-Bye.
Melisande hangs up the phone. She gets up and goes to the white board.
Jason comes in.
Jason: Hi. So we really need something to print. How about Sara Lynne's recipe for her home cooked lasagna? She said she wouldn't mind and you know Darcy would love that. Everyone in this town has been after that recipe for years.
Melisande sighs: All right, run it.
Jason: Don't sound so defeated. Something will come a long soon, with you as editor-in-chief, I know it will.
Melisande: Maybe you're right.
Jason: Well I need to get this on the computer so we can run it. Have a nice afternoon.
Melisande: Thanx, you too.
Jason: Bye.
He leaves the office.
Melisande looks at the clock, sees that it's 12:01 and gets up to leave.
The phone rings.
She answers it.
Melisande: You have reached the office of Intrigue, where news is our main priority. What news? Hi Dad. Yes, I'm still here. I was just about to leave. I was walking out the door. Yes, Yes, I'm going. But we are still talking on the phone, so I can't go.
She hangs up the phone and walks out her office door.
Melisande: Carrie, Jason, I'm going to lunch. I'll be back in an hour.
Carrie: Ok. See you later.
Melisande walks out the door.
Scene III
Melisande walks into Lawson's Pharmacy.
Melisande: Hey Will. I'm here to get Dad's prescription.
Will: Oh, Oh yeah. He called about five minutes ago telling me you were coming to get it. I'll be right back.
He goes to the back room.
Melisande: How's business?
Will comes back.
Will: Oh, you know how it is. Somebody's always in here for something.
Melisande: I wish the news business was that easy.
Mrs. O'Neil comes to the counter.
Melisande: Good Afternoon Mrs. O'Neil.
Mrs. O'Neil makes a sound and turns up her nose.
Mrs. O'Neil: Thank-you Will. Have a nice evening.
Mrs. O'Neil leaves.
Will: What was that about?
Melisande: Oh, she's just mad I won't print her story about Pepper getting stuck in a tree.
Will laughs.
Melisande: See ya later Will.
Will: Bye.
Scene IV
Melisande is standing outside her parent's door. She knocks.
Her sister Karen answers the door.
Karen: Gosh! It took you forever to get here. I'm late for work. I have to go. The kids are in their rooms.
Melisande: Wait, No Karen. I can't. I have to get back to work.
Karen: Make sure they are asleep by nine.
Melisande: Karen, I can't.
Karen gets in her car and leaves.
Melisande: Damn it.
She walks into the house and puts the medicine on the kitchen table.
Melisande: Dad.. Your medicine is here.
He grumbles from his room but doesn't emerge.
Melisande hears children and walks down the hallway to Angie and Jessica’s room.
Angie is the oldest of Karen's kids. She's seven.
Melisande: Hi Angie.
Angie: Hi Auntie! Do you want to play with me?
Melisande: No Angie. I’m sorry I can’t. Where are Kyle and Jessica?
Angie in a pouty voice: I don’t know.
Melisande walks into Kyle’s room, Angie follows.
Melisande: Hi Kyle and Jessica. Mommy went to work and I have to go back to my office. You guys have to go with me, so grab something to play with and let’s go.
Kids in unison: But we don’t want to.
Melisande: I know, I know. But I have to find something to put in tomorrow’s paper..
Jessica: Here Auntie.. You can put my picture of Ariel that I colored in your paper.
Angie: Mommy says there will never be anything to write about in Darcy and that you should just give up and go work at the bank.
Melisande: That’s nice.

Getting irritible again.. Not good... Annoyed with everyone and everything.. Wow.. I have things I need to work on, but I don't know where to start or how to begin. Wish life was easier sometimes.. The paper is starting to annoy me a little.. But that is mostly my fault.. Work is too.. I'm tired of Mrs. Lisa talking to me like I'm stupid and calling me *Dear*. Once again that is probably something that concerns only me and something that only I can work on.. I honestly think I shouldn't have started writing for the paper.. I was so creative before.. Then Josh and I broke up and I somehow destroyed myself in so many ways and I don't know how to correct that.. Wow.. It feels like the same old journal entry every time, but these feelings just won't go away.. I can't seem to fix them. Everything is annoying me again... As usual.
Wow.. So it's been a very long time since I did one of these.. I think I might have forgotten how to use it....LoL.
Today has been fun. I enjoyed it.. So glad tomorrow is Friday..
Going home for the weekend...
